Golden Days of Fairbanks

In July Fairbanks Celebrates “Golden Days”.  This week long celebration marks the beginning of our Golden Heart City and is meant to tell the story of how gold plays such a big role in forming Fairbanks with Felix Pedro striking gold in 1902.  Fairbanks pays tribute to Pedro with a monument rededication each year.  This year the festivities span from July 15-23. Fun things to do include, a parade through town, a downtown street fair, old time games, delicious eats from local food trucks, and the river regatta.  See a full list of events at http://www.fairbankschamber.org/golden-days

Here at The Lodge we enjoy partaking in the downtown festivities being only a short 20 minute drive to downtown as well as easy access to the Steese highway for a straight shot to the Pedro Monument.
