We strongly recommend that our guests rent a car while staying with us. We, unfortunately, do not have a shuttle service. Most of the major car rental companies have facilities at Fairbanks International Airport.
Although roads are kept clear of snow, and our driveway is plowed during the winter months (October 1st to May 1st).
During the winter you will need to rent a car with All-Wheel Drive (AWD) or Four-Wheel Drive (4WD).
We just recently purchased a car and listed it on Turo to rent. It is an all-wheel-drive Subaru Forester that has been winterized with studded winter tires.
Turo is a great option to rent a vehicle as you know exactly what you are getting.
If renting a car is not a possibility, guests can take a RideShare service or Taxi service to the Lodge. A RideShare service from Fairbanks International ranges from $35-$55, and from downtown Fairbanks $30-45. Taxi service from Fairbanks International ranges from $65-$85, and from downtown Fairbanks $45-60.
We recommend either Uber or Lyft. Lyft is more popular in Fairbanks. Check their website for price estimators.
